Zukunftskongress Staat & Verwaltung
In the summer of 2013, the Zukunftskongress Staat und Verwaltung (Congress for the future of state and governance) started as the flagship event on digital government and governance modernisation under the patronage of the German Federal Ministry of the Interior. It is the aim of the congress to help tackle the organisational and structural tasks connected to the digitalisation of state and governance and at the same time make use of the opportunities presented by the digital revolution.
The forthcoming congress will take place on the 20th and 21st June 2017 in the bcc Berlin Congress Center and is entitled „Germany‘s vote: Digital progress or analogue downtime?“ (Deutschland vor der Wahl: Digitaler Aufbruch oder analoger Stillstand?). About 1,500 decision makers from the German speaking countries (DACH region) from all governing entities as well as leading representatives from innovative companies and the scholarship will discuss and put forth ideas, possible solutions and recommendations for the future state. We seek to stimulate the dialogue for an efficient, modern governance.
